How to Create a Subsite in SharePoint 2016

How to create a subsite in SharePoint 2016. See where to enter details of your new subsite and select a template according to the purpose.

Andreas Glaser

To give your team a space where to collaborate, create a new subsite, as commonly simply called "site".

The subsite will have its own lists, libraries, security settings, and design.

To create a new subsite, go to Site Contents, click on the New Site link, and enter details such as Title and description, Web Site Address, and Template Selection.

Easily add different web parts to help your team share information and work together on projects.

As a site owner, you can change many of the parameters at a later time after the subsite has been created.

The short video below outlines the steps.
